The Brazil Mission Awareness Committee (BMAC)

Contact: Margaret Sanche, BMAC chair  374-5501

The Brazil Mission Awareness Committee was formed in May 1992 as a diocesan committee charged with keeping the people of the diocese informed about the work of our missionaries in Brazil and providing moral support to the mission team.

Speakers about the Brazil Mission are available for schools or parish groups on request.  A section of the Diocesan Mission Office’s 2007 video, “And the Lord said ‘Go’,” includes interviews with past and present Brazil missionaries as well as high school students and others who have visited the mission.  BMAC raises awareness through various means: posters, parish bulletin notes, prayer intercessions, articles in the Prairie Messenger and Brazil Bulletin pages in the Diocesan Newsletter, information sessions with Brazil missionaries on home visits, and the planning of group visits to the Brazil Mission areas every two years or so.
