Saskatoon RC Diocese

Diocesan Administrator - Fr. Kevin McGee

Diocesan Administrator 2016 Fr Kevin McGee

Father Kevin McGee has been elected Diocesan Administrator, to lead the diocese until Pope Francis appoints a new bishop for Saskatoon.

The diocese of Saskatoon is waiting the appointment of its eighth bishop, as Most Rev. Donald Bolen has now been installed as Archbihsop of Regina.

In the interim, the diocesan College of Consultors have elected Fr. Kevin McGee (right) as the Diocesan Administrator. Ordained in 1997, Fr. McGee most recently served as Vicar-General in our diocese. Fr. McGee also serves as Priest Moderator of St. Augustine Parish in Saskatoon and as chaplain to Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools board of education.

PRAYER for a NEW BISHOP:

Praise to you, Lord our God, our eternal shepherd and guide. In your faithfulness, grant to the diocese of Saskatoon a shepherd whose watchful care and kindly zeal will continue the good work of his predecessors. In your love for us, give us a shepherd who will lead us in being Christ’s heart of mercy, voice of hope, and hands of justice. May our new bishop fill our minds and hearts with the truth of the Gospel, the power of the sacraments, and the desire to build up your holy Church. We ask this through Jesus Christ, your Son and our Lord, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Pastoral Letters

Diocesan Administrator Rev. Kevin McGee and the Catholic Bishops of Saskatchewan jointly released three texts related to death, dying and pastoral care in an age of physician assisted suicide and euthanasia.
