Internationally-acclaimed storyteller and theologian Megan McKenna presents "Handing on Tradition, Sharing the Faith" March 31-April 2, hosted by Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, Saskatoon

Storytelling will be front and centre as Megan McKenna presents "Handing on Tradition, Sharing the Faith", hosted by Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St Mary's Hall, corner of Avenue 0 South and 20th Street West in Saskatoon. The Storyteller traditionally holds a position of honour and authority in many Indigenous communities, binding generations together, keeping traditions and beliefs and practices of the people vital, and asking questions crucial to survival. 

Sessions include:

  • Elders Storytelling Circle 7:00 pm Friday, March 31;
  • Handing on the Tradition from Elders to Youth 10:00 am Saturday, April 1;
  • Creating Your Own Story (the youthful heart) 2:00 pm Saturday, April 1; and
  • Meet Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patron of the Americas, 2:30 pm Sunday, April 2.

Megan McKenna is an internationally-recognized storyteller, theologian, spiritual writer and speaker, with extensive experience working with Indigenous communities across the Americas and around the world.

Please Note: Megan McKenna is also leading a Parish Mission at St. Mary's Parish, speaking at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 27, Tuesday, March 28 and Wednesday, March 29 on The Woman at the Well, The Man Born Blind, and The Raising of Lazarus. Everyone is welcome to attend!
