Rock the Mount
July 6, 2010 -
The 9th annual free Catholic Youth Rally known as Rock the Mount will be held Saturday, Aug. 21 at Mount Carmel east of Saskatoon. Rock the Mount runs all day, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., with Mass celebrated at 5 p.m. with Saskatoon Bishop Donald Bolen. “Washed by Mercy, Saved by Grace” is the theme of the event, held at the picturesque Shrine of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, just north of Carmel, SK. Christian bands, inspiring talks, prayer, activities, games, reconciliation, praise and worship and Eucharistic adoration are part of the event. There is a booth on site where food can be purchased, or participants are welcome to bring a picnic lunch/supper. (Bring lawn chairs or a blanket!) This is a youth-oriented family event, but people of all ages are welcome to all or part of the day. For info contact John and Elaine Boskill at 306-384-4836. |
