    Migration Office Coordinator

    The Roman Catholic Diocese of Saskatoon seeks to hire a full-time (37.5 hours per week) coordinator for the Office of Migration. Applicants of all faith are welcome to apply. Position begins October 1, 2017. 


    • To provide administrative support and formation to parishes sponsoring and resettling individuals and families
    • To monitor parishes/constituent groups and ensure our responsibilities of being a Sponsorship Agreement Holder are being met
    • To promote and encourage awareness about refugee sponsorship to the Diocese


    • Demonstrated experience and awareness of issues around refugees and migration
    • Demonstrated ability to work with individuals and groups of varied backgrounds
    • Demonstrated experience in public speaking and adult education
    • High level of organizational skills with attention to detail
    • Completed the Refugee Sponsorship Training Program, or a willingness to do so


    • Salary in accordance with the Pastoral Salary Grid of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saskatoon

    St. Therese Institute of Faith and Mission is a post-secondary Catholic organization located at Bruno, Saskatchewan that offers adult faith formation through a common life of study, prayer and fellowship, inspired by the teachings of St. Therese of Lisieux.

    The Administrator/Registrar works under the leadership and in collaboration with the Executive Director and the Director of Formation to help ensure St. Therese Institute is operated in an efficient and effective manner.

    Main Tasks and Essential Responsibilities:

    • Provide administrative support to management
    • Coordinate student admissions and maintain student records
    • Ensure the integrity, accuracy and security of all academic records
    • Assist with the articulation of transfer credits and official transcripts
    • Provide exceptional service to students
    • Management of student tuition and scholarships
    • Assist with financial management
    • Assist with grant and foundations applications
    • Contribute ideas and expertise to the organization
    • Assist with the adherence to government policy and procedures
    • Assist management with the supervision and direction of volunteers and staff


    Key Skills & Competencies needed:

    • Post-Secondary education or equivalent work experience
    • Proficient in the use of computer programs – (Word/Excel/Power point and others)
    • Attention to detail
    • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
    • Be organized, self-motivated and able to prioritize responsibilities
    • Problem solving and analytical skills
    • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with students, guests, staff and management to achieve the goals of the organization
    • Communicate effectively and cooperatively with others to set goals, resolve problems and make decisions that enhance St. Therese Institute
    • Assess situations and make decisions and recommendations

  • Regina parish seeks Pastoral Assistant

    Holy Family Parish in Regina is seeking a Pastoral Assistant.

    The Pastoral Assistant is directly responsible to the Pastor. This is a permanent, full-time (160 hours per month average with some evenings and weekends depending on liturgical season and programs.)


    Key Functions:


    The Pastoral Assistant (P.A.) organizes sacramental preparation and ensures their delivery for the parish community. The P.A. coordinates and/or delivers the RCIA and RCIC Programs in conjunction with the Pastor. The P.A. assists the Pastor with Liturgical details and works with the Liturgical Committee. The PA. assists the Pastor as supervisor of the Parish Office. The P.A. collaborates with the Youth Minister to ensure the youth of the parish are included in parish life. The P.A. oversees the religious education opportunities as offered by the Parish through volunteer leaders.




    • Practicing Catholic, familiar with the Sacraments and Liturgy
    • Fully believes in and is able to defend the teachings of the Catholic Church
    • Has demonstrated experience in managing operations and personnel
    • Has superior organizational and time management skills with particular attention to detail
    • Able to delegate and coach staff and volunteers
    • Has strong presentation skills
    • Has strong oral and written communication skills
    • Works independently and in a team environment
    • Proficient with Microsoft applications and e-mail software


    Preference will be given to those who have an education or background in theology, religious studies, pastoral ministry, related field or who have completed the lay formation program.

    • Criminal Record Check (completed and submitted at verbal offer of successful candidate, and prior to written Offer of Employment)
