Lent Talks

* LENT TALKS - Inspiration for the Journey - 'What are you giving up for Lent?' is a common question this time of year in church circles, when many Christians mark the 40 day season leading up to Easter with some form of fasting. Lent is also a good time to add something to your spiritual journey. Christ Church Anglican and St Mary's and Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic parishes in Saskatoon are calling Christians from around the city together at 7 p.m. on Tuesday evenings during Lent for LENT TALKS, held at Christ Church Anglican, 515-28th Street West, Saskatoon. Each presenter will offer a brief introduction to a personal favourite Lenten resource. Come for punchy, powerful talks, worship music and fellowship.  Speakers will include Father Graham Hill (Roman Catholic, Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, Saskatoon); Marie-Louise Ternier-Gommers (Anglican, All Saints, Watrous); Rev Deb Walker (Mayfair United Church, Saskatoon); Pastor Jakob Palm (Holy Covenant Evangelical Orthodox Church, Saskatoon), and Rev Bill Blackmon (Saskatoon Evangelical Ministers' Fellowship). A freewill offering will be gratefully received to help cover expenses. For more information, call Christ Church (306) 242-0165. SCHEDULE for LENT TALKS:
