  • Development Office Assistant

    The Diocese of Saskatoon Catholic Foundation is seeking a Development Office Assistant.   

    Location: Saskatoon (Diocese of Saskatoon Catholic Foundation Office, 2nd Floor, Cathedral of the Holy Family, 123 Nelson Road, Saskatoon, SK)

    Position Summary: The Development Assistant, reporting to the Development Manager, plays an essential role by providing administrative support to the Diocese of Saskatoon Catholic Foundation (the fundraising and stewardship arm of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saskatoon) and participating in all fundraising activities including database management, donor communications, direct mail appeals, and special events. 

    Core and Strategic Functions:

    • Database Management: processing and entering donations from multiple sources, updating and maintaining donor files, generate monthly fundraising reports, perform regular audits to ensure database accuracy
    • Preparing donor acknowledgment letters and other donor correspondence
    • Assisting with event management and implementation
    • Assisting in all aspects of Foundation fundraising efforts

    The qualified candidate will possess:

    • Relevant post-secondary credential and/or combination of education and experience
    • 3 to 5 year’s administrative assistant experience
    • Ability to multi-task and exercise independent judgement while performing job duties with little supervision
    • Demonstrated ability in being discreet and maintaining confidentiality
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Raiser’s Edge
    • Demonstrated experience in database management
    • Open and friendly disposition with a demonstrated ability to work well with others
    • Basic working knowledge of the Catholic Church

    Working Conditions:

    • Half-time position of 22.5 hours per week or 1,170 hours per year
    • Regular office hours (3 days per week for 7.5 hours per day) with some flexibility
    • Occasional evening or weekend event participation may be required
    • Works independently in a shared-office environment with some interruptions
    • Routine and repetitive work (data entry)


    • Remunerated monthly according to the Diocesan Administrative Salary Grid

  • RC Diocese of Nelson, BC, seeks Director of Faith Formation

    The Diocese of Nelson Welcomes Applications for the Position of Diocesan Director of Faith Formation (based in Kelowna, BC)

    The Director of Faith Formation is responsible to the Bishop in designing and implementing programs for adult faith formation, children’s catechetics and sacramental preparation for use in the diocese and in supporting the ministry of the laity. The Office is based in Kelowna but will require travel to the various regions of the diocese.

    The Director works in collaboration with:

    • The Superintendent of Catholic Schools in the faith development of staff.

    • Parish pastoral teams.

    • The Diocesan Religious Education and Adult Faith Formation Committees.

    •  The Diocesan Finance Office (Budgeting).


    • A Master’s Degree in Religious Education or Theology or equivalent

    • A demonstrated commitment to the Church, her teachings and authority.

    • Familiarity with children’s catechetics and adult models of faith formation.

    • Steeped in the principles of The General Directory for Catechesis and On Good Soil.

    • Evidence of effective leadership, communication and facilitation skills.

    • Proven ability to work collaboratively for a common vision.

    • Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office.
